This Tie Dress pictured below, is as far as I know one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteThe idea came from the Japanese Street fashion book called 'Fruits' -

I saw a girl wearing a Skirt made from old Ties and spent a few months collecting Ties in charity shops until I had enough to make my Blue & Red Tie Skirt, featured below.
I kept buying interesting ones whenever I saw them, and am still collecting. People always comment on the dress whenever I do a stall, and the skirt is popular too.
I'm planning to make more once my collection of ties grows, I have a few different colourways planned - one natural one with Browns, Greens and neutral colours, one monotone Black White and Grey, one Blue and Green, and a Pink and Purple one.
Just one striking tie is enough to make me want to create a whole garment just so I can use it. Bodices and strapless dresses are also on the cards for the future... I think I may end up going a little Tie-Crazy!!
