I haven't quite got the hang of the technical side to how this blog works yet so I'm just going to carry on adding little snippets...

  1. This Tie Dress pictured below, is as far as I know one of a kind.
The idea came from the Japanese Street fashion book called 'Fruits' -

I saw a girl wearing a Skirt made from old Ties and spent a few months collecting Ties in charity shops until I had enough to make my Blue & Red Tie Skirt, featured below.

I kept buying interesting ones whenever I saw them, and am still collecting. People always comment on the dress whenever I do a stall, and the skirt is popular too.

I'm planning to make more once my collection of ties grows, I have a few different colourways planned - one natural one with Browns, Greens and neutral colours, one monotone Black White and Grey, one Blue and Green, and a Pink and Purple one.

Just one striking tie is enough to make me want to create a whole garment just so I can use it. Bodices and strapless dresses are also on the cards for the future... I think I may end up going a little Tie-Crazy!!
