Nick's Vintage / Second Hand Shop

I have recently put a collection of 12 garments into a massive Vintage and second hand shop on Division street in Sheffield. The shop has no signage outside or official name, so I've decided to call it 'Nick's Vintage' after Nick who runs the place.

He clearly loves his job, despite people constantly asking for discounts (everytime I'm in there there's someone trying to haggle - even though it's already cheap!!) and is very knowledgeable about his stock.
His main passion is for Luggage; especially Globe-trotter Cases, which I have seen him polishing! But he expresses the same joy as all vintage lovers have of unique things from another era which have been beautifully crafted, and designed to last.

The shop is a haven for all who love hunting for unique treasures and rummaging through rails of quirky / colourful / fun / second hand / vintage / retro items, as there are always bargains to be found.

Many Skirts are just £5, Dresses at £12 and loads of Coats and leather jackets at £20, not to mention the Shorts, Tops, Jumpers, Ties, Hats, Bags and SHOES!!!

As you can see from the photos there really is a lot of stuff in there and I feel blessed to be a very small part of this fabulous shop. The Molly Rouge Customised clothing collection has been made from items which I found in store, ones that sparked an idea or had a beautiful texture, pattern or colour.

Mainly I wanted to use pieces that were not selling so well, for example the plus sizes which look a little frumpy, I'd take them back to the studio and stitch some life back into them and give them a new twist.
In total I took away 24 items to revamp and I'm still working away on the other 12 pieces so watch this space...

I hope you like the pictures - do try to get down and have a look for yourself if you have time.
